RPAS/UAS Flight Crew: Pilot In Command

Description:

The Pilot-In-Command (PIC) is the single authority for operational flights of GTA RPAS/UAS.


Responsibilities:

Overall operation of GTA RPAS/UAS, including complete oversight of assigned Flight Crew, flight briefings, overall safety of flight operations, proper completion of aircraft checklists, aircraft preflights/postflights, data collection, communications with Flight Crew & FAA controlling agencies, and FAA/ATC coordination of RPAS/UAS flights.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, 4-year college degree (aviation/engineering), FAA Private Pilot Certificate or higher, FAA Part 107 Certificate, Radio Telephone Operators Permit, minimum 100 flight hours of RPAS/UAS as PIC, Radio Control aircraft experience (required).

RPAS/UAS Flight Crew: Payload Operator

Description:

The Payload Operator is the authority for integrated payloads during operational flights of GTA RPAS/UAS.


Responsibilities:

Overall operation of payloads integrated to GTA RPAS/UAS. Advise PIC on payload operation during flight operations. Assist PIC with assigned Flight Crew, flight briefings, overall safety of flight operations, proper completion of aircraft checklists, aircraft preflights/postflights, data collection, communications with Flight Crew & FAA controlling agencies, and FAA/ATC coordination of RPAS/UAS flights.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, 4-year college degree (engineering preferred), Part 107 Certificate, minimum 50 flight hours of RPAS/UAS, Radio Control aircraft experience (preferred).

RPAS/UAS Flight Crew: Visual Observer

Description:

The Visual Observer (VO) maintains "visual" of airborne RPAS/UAS at all times during flight operations, both in the air and on the ground.


Responsibilities:

During all operations of GTA RPAS/UAS, maintain visual of the RPAS/UAS at all times and report to the PIC any deviations of the RPAS/UAS from the intended flight path, any possible collision event with manned or other RPAS/UAS, or any event that affects the safe operation of the RPAS/UAS, both in the air or on the ground.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, High School diploma, Part 107 Certificate (preferred), Radio Control aircraft experience (preferred).

RPAS/UAS Flight Crew: Maintenance Technician

Description:

Maintenance Technician of GTA RPAS/UAS, integrated payloads, Ground Control Stations, and Support Equipment.


Responsibilities:

Perform required maintenance checks, actual maintenance/repairs, assist with RPAS/UAS flight operations.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, High School diploma, experience with repair of composites, airframes, avionics, powerplants, flight controls, landing gear, Ground Control Station equipment, Support Equipment such as generators, communications equipment, antennas, etc.

Composite Technician

Description:

The Composite Technician is in charge of the manufacturing processes for the composite parts of GTA RPAS/UAS.


Responsibilities:

Familiar with composite manufacturing procedures, including cutting composite materials in accordance with engineering drawings/templates, wet epoxy layups/procedures, vacuum-bagging procedures, post-curing procedures, part removal (from tooling), part trimming/finishing, part documentation, etc.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, High School diploma, Composite experience (preferred)

Avionics Technician

Description:

The Avionics Technician is in charge of integration of avionics to GTA RPAS/UAS, including systems integration, wiring harnesses, power systemsPlaceholder text


Responsibilities:

Familiar with RPAS/UAS avionics systems, autopilots, systems integration, engineering drawings, wiring systems, power systems, communications equipment (including Command & Control, or C2), antennas, Flight Management computers and software, AI software, etc.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, College degree (Engineering), experience with RPAS/UAS avionics systems.

Administrative / Contracts

Description:

The Administrative/Contracts position assists GTA management personnel with all company administrative tasking.


Responsibilities:

Assist management personnel with schedules, meetings, communications with government and commercial entities, solicitation research, proposal submissions (including review, editing, finalization of submissions), contract completion.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, college degree, administrative and/or legal experience.

Ground & Flight Crew Training Instructor

Description:

The Ground & Flight Crew Training Instructor performs RPAS/UAS instruction to students enrolled in the GTA RPAS/UAS Flight Training School.


Responsibilities:

Provide classroom instruction of the approved GTA RPAS/UAS Flight Training School curriculum to enrolled students, monitor/record student progress, record curriculum completion and provide students that successfully complete the curriculum with completion certificates.


Minimum Requirements:

U.S. citizen, College degree, FAA Private Pilot Certificate or higher, FAA Part 107 Certificate, aviation teaching experience (preferred).
