The Bandito PGLM is a micro munition designed to fly autonomous, one-way strike missions to pre-programmed or inflight-programmed waypoints. The munition incorporates a modified "Delta Wing" design and a specially-designed laminar-flow airfoil to combine high speed (max 200 mph) and payload capacity with a dynamically stable flying platform.
Construction features include a molded, hollow-core, "all-composite", Kevlar/carbon graphite airframe, providing high rigidity, damage resistance, and light weight. The munition uses a rechargeable Li-Po battery pack to provide up to 30 minutes of flight time. While intended for one-way missions, the autoland feature provides very accurate landings to pre-programmed landing points for mission recall.
The Bandito PGLM is specifically designed for air-launch from a UAS mother ship, but rail ground launch (preferred) or hand-launch from restricted areas are easily accomplished. High-intensity LED and/or Infrared lighting are options for day/night operations.
